Well, I was reminded today of how I dont update my blog so I thought it would be a good time to do so. I actually have some news to share anyways so it was conveniently a good time to update anyways. It has been a little while, I will admit so I actually have plenty to write about. I am now off of work and have been since last Monday. I figured that 2 wks before my due date was a good time to take off and have a lil time to rest and relax before Ava's big arrival. My dr also suggested 2 wks, so it didn't take much to convince me that it was okay to go ahead and take off. As it turns out...Ava will actually be here by THURSDAY of this week!! If I haven't had her before then, I will be induced Thursday morning bright and early. It seems soooo crazy that what we have been waiting 38 wks for is now only 4 days away!! Man how the time has flown. The next 3 days will probably drag on as we wait for 630 am Thursday morning to get everything started but I hope to make the most of these last few days before our lives change FOREVER!!!! How exciting!!?!!?!!! Jeremy left to head back to Somerset/Burnside til Wednesday for work and he has called every 30 mins since he left just to make sure I am okay and that nothing is going on. His phone was going dead and he's worried he may miss a call from me telling him to turn around and come back. He is the best I just have to say!!! I could not be blessed with a better Husband and Ava RayAnn is going to have the Best Daddy in the world!!! There is nothing that he wouldn't do to protect his girls and I am sooo thankful that he cares like he does!
Since the last time I wrote, I have had some more baby showers... 4 all together actually and, not to sound ungrateful, but I was glad when #4 was over with. It is very good to know that people want to give and that we have so much love and support from our friends, family and churches but its a bit exhausting. Of course, you always get some things that you dont actually NEED and you dont know where it came from so you find yourself trying to figure what exactly to do it. Then, there is always the awkward and uncomfortable feeling of sitting in front of everyone, all eyes on you, while you open these gifts and put on your best SMILE everytime you open a bag. Its funny to listen to all of the AWWW'S you hear. (Especially with all the lil girl stuff) Its funny...You open a bag of diapers and wipes and you hear "AWWW" Well maybe not literally but my the time you've been through 4 of these nice but awkward situations, it sure seems that way. Today we had Deana Jo's baby shower and I got to watch her n Brandon go through all that fun stuff while I got to sick back and write down names and gifts. It was kinda nice to c the tables turned :) She is 6 wks behind me on her due date so our lil girls will be the BEST OF FRIENDS I am sure!!! Its gonna be tons of fun watching them grow up together!!
Well...I guess next time you all hear from me, I will have our new arrival here at home with me and hopefully, it wont take me a month to update. I will make my best effort to get some pics up as soon as I can find the time!! Take Care and Wish us luck! Remember...Thursday, September 3rd (if not before)
