Sunday, Sunday

It has been a rather relaxing Sunday and weekend all together really. Friday night didn't consist of doing much of anything, which any more is the way that I like it. We just stayed here at the house and watched TV and of course I fell asleep extremely early while Jeremy sat up and watched TV. Saturday we got up and Jeremy went Duck hunting with Brandon one last time for this season. I stayed here at the house for a little while then got ready and went to town to meet Deana Jo n Blake to head to BG for Chelle's Cheerleading Competition at BGHS. We had a good time and went to Rafferty's to eat afterwards. Food was good, of course. I only wished that Jeremy was there with us but he had to get back home after hunting to do some work at my mom's house. We got home around 7 I guess and of course, it wasn't long and I was sound asleep on the couch. This morning we got up, got ready and headed to church. It was a wonderful service, by the way and afterwards we had Long John Silvers for lunch before heading back home to settle in for a relaxing afternoon and evening at home.

Jeremy has to leave tomorrow for about 6 wks of work in Paducah. I am not looking forward to him being gone again. Actually it seems like he just got home from the last job even though in reality it has been a couple of months. None the less, I am not excited about him having to leave again. Atleast he will only be a couple of hrs from home this time instead of 4 1/2 and I should be able to see him almost every weekend. I can see myself going to sleep very early and doing a hole lot of nothing while he is gone. I will just be counting down the days until he is back home again...WHERE HE BELONGS~! I do okay with him being gone but I dont like it a single bit! Well I hope everyone else has had a nice, relaxing weekend as well. Until next time...Be Careful (and no that is not a threat...LOL)

Its been a while

I know that it has been a little while since I have written anything on my blog and I didn't intend to get that far behind. But either way...I did. So the weekend was a pretty lazy one and that was actually pretty enjoyable. We didn't get out at all except to go to church on Sunday. We did get some company on Saturday night, which was nice considering we NEVER get company. Bridgette and Josh came down from Bowling Green to visit with us for a while and Deana Jo, Brandon and Blake dropped by for a lil while too after they had dinner at Garcias. We all just hung out and chatted a lil while. Well, actually Josh Gent was watching Bball on TV, All us girls were talking and catching up and Brandon n Jeremy ended up on the computer looking for boats for sale. While in the midst of it all...Blake was entertaining EVERYONE!!!! I could share a few funnies on him for the night and I just cant help but to share this one...We all CRACKED up!! I have a pair of lil devil horns that I have had for a while and Blake found them and put them on. He was running around the house, having a big time and then decided to take them off. He walked in the living room and looked at us and said "look I'm not horny any more" HAHAHA ! I know, I know but it was very very funny and I couldn't help but to share. We had a good night and enjoyed hanging out.
On Monday evening we left to head to Chattanooga because I had to do some orientation yesterday for my new job with TVA. I only stayed for the one day and did some paperwork and I will be going back to finish up soon.Today I am back to work and training the girls here with GUBMK and Monday I will be starting my job with TVA. I am looking forward to the new adventure.

Turn up the Heat...

SOOOO...I say I dont want warm weather in the dead of winter and this is what I get. My heat in my house quits working on the coldest couple of days this winter. I came home from work yesterday expecting a warm house to relax in and that is exactly what I did not get!! It was 55 in there when I got home and after some flipping of breakers and making some changes with the thermostat it had gotten up to about 64 this morning when I was leaving for work. I just put a little electric heater in my bed room and it actually wasn't too bad. Deana Jo offered for me to come and stay at their house but I was being lazy and really just wanted to stay at home. Like I said, I made due and it wasn't too bad. I do hope that we are able to get it fixed today though because tonight it is going to be much colder. Jeremy is out of town at his parents so he wasn't there to try to fix it but he'll be home tonight so atleast I will have him there to Snuggle ;-)

So far the pregnancy symptons are few and far between and I am not complaining. The morning sickness, nausea, etc have so far not gotten to me. Maybe I will be lucky enough to miss them all together. That would be just wonderful. I have been a lil tired and draggy in the mornings especially but I can deal with that. It gets a little more real everyday and a lil more excitement builds each day as well. We are both just very thankful for the many blessings God has brought to us and are thrilled to be able to have the life that we do. Once we get this little Angel here to share our lives with, they will never be the same and that is just exactly what we want!! Hope everyone's week is going good. It is Wednesday so we are half way through the work week!!

Exciting News!!!

So some of you have probably heard by now and others maybe not but Jeremy and I are expecting our first lil one and are absolutely thrilled about it. We have been trying for a little while and have prayed about it for equally as long. God has answered our prayers and we are very blessed. It is going to be an amazing experience from now until, well forever I guess but it is an experience that we are looking forward to. We arent very far along right now only a little over 5 wks and according to an early ultrasound we had done, the due date should be September 9th. It is going to be a long next 8 months I am sure. We are already anxious to find out what we are having of course and have already began the name process. We actually have been thinking of baby names for a long time but now its for real. I think thats going to be a bit of a challenge to pick something we both agree on but we have it narrowed down already and dont even know what we are having yet. I am sure it will change 100 times before the baby arrives though. Jonnica told me the Chinese calendar says we are going to have a lil boy and apparently, its pretty accurate so I have already gotten in my mind that it is a boy. Of course, I wouldn't be a bit upset if we had a baby girl but we already have girls in abundance in the family so I guess it is time for a boy. Jeremy would be thrilled if we had a lil boy. He has always wanted a lil boy. Now he says he just wants a healthy baby and it doesn't matter what it is, which is true of course, but there is nothing wrong with having a preference. Either way, he or she will be spoiled rotten and surrounded with tons of love and happiness.

Hope that everyone is having a wonderful weekend. I was just happy to be able to sleep in today. Last night I went to the Bowling Green/Greenwood game with Deana Jo and we had a good time. Today is a lazy day and we aren't doing much. We get motivated later and do something but so far...Nothing. Tomorrow we will have church but other than that, it may be a lazy day too. No complaints here though. I love days when we dont have 50 things to do.

A Little Rough

Okay so this week so far it has been a little rough to get up and get motivated. I have been sooo lazy and even once I make it to work I cant get myself in gear. I am telling you, having time off only ruins you. Of course, its nice but it always Stinks when you have to go back and get back in the groove of things. I had to refresh myself on my daily responsibilities...I had completely gotten off track. Its Wednesday now though and if I can get through today its only 2 more days til the weekend. Isn't it crazy how we spend all week just waiting for the weekend. A guy here at work once said " We wish our lives away 40 hrs at a time" Its so true if you think about it. Sad kinda, but true.

We finally got to have a home cooked meal at home last night. Our kitchen is in Business...Finally!!! Sure we have a few touch ups to do to get everything complete but we have countertops, a sink and a stove that are all functional...YAYYYY!! It was sooo nice to be able to sit down and have a meal at our table for the first time in a while. Once we get all the trim and everything put up I will take pics and post them so everyone can c the finished product and know what I have been rambling about for the last month. LOL. I am very happy with everything and have to thank my wonderful Husband for getting it done. He has put a lot of work and time into that kitchen. We were very lucky that he was able to do all the work but I think he'll be taking a pretty long break before he does too many more big home improvement projects and I cant say I blame him!!

I hope that everyone has a wonderful HUMP day.

Back to Work...Already

Not going to be writing much because it is pushing bed time already. Hard to believe that it is time to get back to work already and put in a full 40 hr week. I have gotten so used to not having to get up at 430 am and not going to bed at 8 or 830, its going to be tough to get back in the groove. Well the going to bed early thing wont bother me much but the getting up early thing...Now thats another story. It really stinks too when I have to get up and Jeremy gets to stay in bed. Something about that just doesn't seem quite right...LOL. Oh well, I just wish I could stay home too. I dont know exactly how long I will be at this job anyways. I got a new job but haven't gotten the word on when I will start. I will be working for TVA which is a great oppurtunity. I will miss the job and the people I work with now but its just a better oppurtunity for me and Jeremy. I will still be there at the same place atleast so I can still keep n touch. Change is never easy but sometimes its needed and for the best. So, with all that being said, I am going to make the most of my last little bit at my current job and wait for the word on the exact date to close this door and open a new one. Hope that everyone has enjoyed their weekend. I spent yesterday with the Tomes family again. Blake had his Bday party so I helped Deana Jo get everything ready and then enjoyed the fun and excitement at the party. He is such a joy to watch. It was precious how he made sure to thank every person before opening their gift. He is a doll. Today we went to church and stayed around the house the rest of the day. Time to go and get myself ready for bed. Happy Monday to all!!!

Bringing in the New Year

Well we didn't really do anything too out of the ordinary to bring in the new year. We went over to Deana Jo and Brandon's house and pretty much just hung out. We stopped at the store on the way and got some things for supper so Deana Jo cooked us a meal...A real meal. With the exception of Christmas dinners it has been ALONG time since we have had an home cooked meal. We have been eating out like 2 times a day and just munching around the house otherwise. It will be sooo wonderful when EVERYTHING is complete in our kitchen and we can cook supper, do dishes, etc. All in our home again. Anyhow, supper was great and afterwards we fixed some cookies...sugar and chocolate chip. MMMM...We pretty much ate them all I think. Blake Jordon was up every minute that we were there and we left around 1230. Really in all honesty, I think he could stay up all night. That child is FULL of energy and he rarely runs out. We get such a kick out of being around him and are so thankful to have all of them in our lives. Deana Jo is the best friend I could ever ask for, Brandon n Jeremy get along perfectly and make pretty good hunting buddies and Blake is just an amazing lil boy. He is sooo smart, funny and unpredictable. You never know what he may say or do. We enjoyed ourselves and brought the New Year in just being ourselves with three great people. We really just didn't feel like doing much else so we were perfectly happy with our choice to celebrate the New Year with the Tomes family. When it actually turned 2009 and the clock struck 12 we were in the basement. The guys on the computer and Deana Jo n I were on the couch watching Blake run wild. We tried to tell him to go Over to the guys and Yell "Happy New YEAR" it actually turned in to Happy New Holiday and it was the funniest thing. I guess he was so used to hearing Happy Holidays. Hopefully everyone else had a wonderful New Year and brought the New Year in right. I'm personally not a big New Years Resolution kind of girl but for those of you who are...Good Luck.
