Bringing in the New Year

Well we didn't really do anything too out of the ordinary to bring in the new year. We went over to Deana Jo and Brandon's house and pretty much just hung out. We stopped at the store on the way and got some things for supper so Deana Jo cooked us a meal...A real meal. With the exception of Christmas dinners it has been ALONG time since we have had an home cooked meal. We have been eating out like 2 times a day and just munching around the house otherwise. It will be sooo wonderful when EVERYTHING is complete in our kitchen and we can cook supper, do dishes, etc. All in our home again. Anyhow, supper was great and afterwards we fixed some cookies...sugar and chocolate chip. MMMM...We pretty much ate them all I think. Blake Jordon was up every minute that we were there and we left around 1230. Really in all honesty, I think he could stay up all night. That child is FULL of energy and he rarely runs out. We get such a kick out of being around him and are so thankful to have all of them in our lives. Deana Jo is the best friend I could ever ask for, Brandon n Jeremy get along perfectly and make pretty good hunting buddies and Blake is just an amazing lil boy. He is sooo smart, funny and unpredictable. You never know what he may say or do. We enjoyed ourselves and brought the New Year in just being ourselves with three great people. We really just didn't feel like doing much else so we were perfectly happy with our choice to celebrate the New Year with the Tomes family. When it actually turned 2009 and the clock struck 12 we were in the basement. The guys on the computer and Deana Jo n I were on the couch watching Blake run wild. We tried to tell him to go Over to the guys and Yell "Happy New YEAR" it actually turned in to Happy New Holiday and it was the funniest thing. I guess he was so used to hearing Happy Holidays. Hopefully everyone else had a wonderful New Year and brought the New Year in right. I'm personally not a big New Years Resolution kind of girl but for those of you who are...Good Luck.

We definitely had a good time visiting w/ the O's as well!! I will say, that there is never a dull moment when Blake is around. We often sit back, laugh and ask ourselves, "did we really create this monster?!?" Thanks so much for being such a big part of Blake's life and amazing friends! Love ya so . . . can't wait to see what comes in '09!
